AICPA Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference Provides Essential Tools for Navigating Tax Reform

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act added new opportunities and challenges to the ever-changing financial planning landscape. Now, more than a year since passage, best practices and cutting-edge strategies are emerging and will be shared at the AICPA's 2019 Advanced Personal Financial Planning (PFP) Conference. The 32nd annual conference will take place at the MGM Grand Las Vegas from June 9-13, 2019. Professionals looking to gain the essential skills and tools to help their clients navigate the new legislation will benefit from in-depth technical sessions and panel discussions while networking with the profession's top influencers.

In addition to tax reform, topics include, issues surrounding cryptocurrency, health insurance for pre-retirees and how clients spending habits shape their happiness. The content has been curated to help professionals gain access to technical and practical sessions in the areas of tax, retirement, estate, risk management, investments and more. Attendees will learn about the industry's latest tools and discuss how planners can humanize technology to deepen client relationships.

"This year's conference features a wide-range of forward-looking technical sessions that will provide financial planning professionals the most current information on how tax reform, advancements in technology, changing client expectations, market volatility and more is impacting individuals, families, and business owners," said Andrea Millar, CPA/PFS, Association of International Certified Professional Accountants Director of Financial Planning. "Financial planning professionals will emerge with the latest tools and insights they need to provide their clients the highest professional service."

Professionals recognize the Advanced PFP Conference as one of the best conferences for technical education sessions. Along with new experts, many of the same speakers who led highly rated sessions in 2018 will be returning this year to share new insights and updates in their area of expertise. The conference agenda was developed to provide captivating content and educational sessions for all financial planning professionals. The ideas shared will accelerate attendee's professional development and improve practice management, so they'll be better prepared for the future of financial planning.

"Financial planners who are serious about their craft should not miss this chance to sharpen their skills and connect with some of the brightest planning minds in the country," said Ted Sarenski, CPA/PFS, chair of the 2019 PFP Conference Planning Committee. "With in-depth technical sessions on best practices hosted by esteemed thought leaders from throughout the profession, attendees will leave with actionable information they can use in practice right away."

In addition to the PFP conference, attendees will have access to leading technical content within all 7 other conferences as part of AICPA ENGAGE including: Advanced Accounting & Auditing, Advanced Estate Planning, CPA Firm Management Association: Practice Management, EDGE Career Development, Practitioners Symposium & TECH+, Tax Strategies for the High-Income Individual, and the Association for Accounting Marketing Summit.
