Alpine Supply Chain Solutions WERC Presentation Shows How to Select and Implement the Right WMS in Record Time

CHICAGO, April 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Alpine Supply Chain Solutions, a leading industry consulting and systems integration firm, will present "True Story: WMS Selection in 90 Days and Go-Live in Five Months, and Under Budget," at the 2019 Warehouse Education Research Council (WERC) annual conference on April 29 at 8am, in Columbus, OH. Michael Wohlwend, Managing Principal for Alpine, will co-present with Bob Moran, President of First Logistics, a leading public warehouse and logistics solution provider, on the successful fast-track WMS selection and implementation process.

The WERC presentation will show how Alpine helped First Logistics select a tier-one Warehouse Management System (WMS) in 90 days, then proceeded to go live in five months and under budget. Alpine leveraged its industry knowledge and existing tools to speed the selection process and to ensure the best solution was selected and properly implemented to maximize ROI. As a 3PL, First Logistics has complex distribution demands from its customers, including lot control and expiration date demands, kitting and other value-added services, and the company needed a tier-one WMS that could provide real-time inventory and daily performance updates via the customer portal.

"At Alpine, our team of seasoned consultants have implemented over 100 WMS projects," said Michael Wohlwend, Managing Principal for Alpine Supply Chain Solutions. "And we pride ourselves on our deep knowledge of the different solutions in the WMS marketplace. When we help a company with the WMS selection process, we include up to 10 different WMS vendors to ensure we are not only looking at the Tier one providers, but including cloud and up-and-coming providers in the selection process."

Wohlwend continued, "Working with First Logistics was a great match. They understood the importance of involving their team in the WMS selection and implementation process. First Logistics had the executive sponsorship that helped drive the entire team to be successful."

"We knew we had a tight timeline and needed to leverage a partner that could help us hit those timelines," said Bob Moran, President of First Logistics. "Alpine really came through for us."

Over 1,000 attendees are expected to attend the four-day WERC conference, which runs from April 28 through May 1 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Registration is open and can be accessed through WERC. After the conference, the presentation will be available by contacting Alpine Solutions, http://www.AlpineSupplyChainSolutions.com.
