Midwest Growth Capital Symposium Unveils Innovative Ventures Chosen to Present at 38th Annual Event


ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ --  Organizers of the Midwest Growth Capital Symposium (MGCS) today announced the innovative ventures that will present at the 38th annual event, which will be held May 14-15 at the Marriott Resort in Ypsilanti, Mich. A total of 32 companies actively seeking funding that represent the best of the emerging growth companies across the Midwest will showcase their ventures to an audience of more than 500 top-tier investors, entrepreneurs, researchers and business executives.

MGCS 2019 will also host a Tech Transfer pitch track, featuring presenters from the University of Minnesota, Purdue Research Foundation, Indiana University Ventures, Ohio State University, Michigan State University, Wayne State University and the University of Michigan. 

A new addition to this year's agenda is the inaugural VC University Seminar, hosted by the National Venture Capital Association, University of California ­­­? Berkeley and the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. The three-day seminar will kick off at MGCS's closing keynote, featuring Scott Kupor, managing partner of Andreessen Horowitz, and Jan Garfinkle, founder and managing partner of Arboretum Ventures. The agenda features panels and workshops for entrepreneurs, angel investors, VCs, fund managers, attorneys and related industry professionals looking to learn more about the financial, legal and operational aspects of venture capital.

Online registration for MGCS is available until 11:59 p.m. EDT Friday, May 10, and on-site registration opens at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14 at the Marriot Resort.
