Joseph J. Frendo Joins Caris Life Sciences as Chief Operations Officer

Frendo has joined the company as Chief Operations Officer. In his role, Frendo will oversee and direct all technical and clinical staff operations and guide strategies to advance quality and optimize efficiencies across the company. 

A seasoned healthcare industry executive, Frendo brings to Caris more than three decades of operational and management leadership in the healthcare supply chain arena, with a deep focus on prescription benefit management (PBM) operations. Frendo's expertise will be critical to Caris as the company continues to expand its operations and drive new advancements and innovation in molecular science.

Prior to joining Caris, Frendo served as the Senior Vice President of PBM Operations at CVS Health where he managed specialty pharmacy, mail-service pharmacy and customer care operations business units. While at CVS Health, he formulated an enhanced customer experience improvement plan that led to increased customer satisfaction and continuous quality improvement. Frendo also served in several management roles at Medco Health Solutions before moving to CVS Health.

Frendo earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
