More Than 3,000 Attended 48 Foundation's Multicultural Biker Unity Weekend


PHOENIX, April 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The 48 Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization which celebrates biker diversity, returned to Phoenix with a three-day multicultural biker unity weekend in honor of their 45th anniversary from Thursday, April 4, through Saturday, April 6. The event celebrated the diversity of Arizona's 178,890 registered motorcyclists and biker enthusiasts from around the country. The event hosted over 3,000 guests and included entertainment, free food, DJ, meet and greets and more.

"We are were honored to host a multicultural biker unity event in Arizona that brought together motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the country with different backgrounds. This was a great way to connect with our biker community and celebrate a weekend filled with entertainment for everyone," says 48 Foundations Spokesman, Rodney Daughtry.

The entertainment kicked- off on Thursday, April 4, with a Fish Fry at The Soul Brothers Clubhouse (1115 W. Buckeye Rd.) in Buckeye. On Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6, at 8 p.m., the 48 Foundation hosted a two-night meet and greet with motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the country and their family members at the 401 1st Street Parking Lot in Phoenix. Entertainment included food vendors, DJ and bikes on display for judges and spectators. On Saturday night, there was also a unity extravaganza and trophies were awarded to the community's favorite motorcycle enthusiasts. The event was open to the public. The Phoenix Police Department was a supporter of the event and was present throughout the weekend.

The 48 Foundation also hosted a family friendly event for all ages at Glendale Heroes Regional Park (8 W. Bethany Home Rd.) on Saturday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event was free for the public and included beverages, hamburgers and hot dogs. All of the bikes were on display at the park and there was a Sound-Off Bike Competition.

A portion of the proceeds from the 48 Foundation's Biker Unity Weekend will benefit Arizona's Congressional District 7 and District 27 community initiatives. For more information on the program, please contact Shawn McBath at (480)-245-9945.
