Patrimoine en fête 2019 | De la ville à la rivière, au fil de l'eau, au fil du temps
The Patrimoine en fête heritage celebration will take place on Saturday, May 25th, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the 2018 winning location, the Parcours Gouin reception pavilion, in Ahuntsic?Cartierville. This will be the opportunity to discover, through tours, workshops and conferences the influence of the natural and landscaping context on the urban development of this part of Montréal's territory, located on the shores of the Rivière des Prairies.

"I would like to extend my invitation to my fellow citizens to participate in great numbers in the Opération patrimoine Montréal. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know and encourage artisans, owners and municipalities who take action in an effort to enhance and preserve the heritage identity of our metropolis. I also hope that the celebration day will attract as many people as possible this May 25th, in the beautiful heritage site that was very carefully set up in keeping with our borough's history. This is a site I am particularly proud of!" said Émilie Thullier, executive committee member in charge of heritage, and mayor of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

"Héritage Montréal is proud to see how this event, created as Opération Patrimoine Montréal more than 25 years ago, has grown in size and in beauty to highlight our city's heritage as an asset and a distinctive trait for Montréal and its neighborhoods, and to acknowledge the contribution of our citizens in its preservation and enhancement. We are also thrilled to be partners of Patrimoine en fête, a day filled with festivities meant to highlight the wealth of our heritage in its vast diversity! In 2019, this celebration at the Parcours Gouin reception pavilion provides an opportunity to discover Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough, a place where former villages and remarkable buildings punctuate the landscape of the Rivière des Prairies. I look forward to seeing you there!" says Dinu Bumbaru, policy director for Héritage Montréal.
