Albizu University, Miami Dade's only Clinical Psy.D. university, now welcomes Argosy University students

MIAMI, March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Albizu University has been added by the American Psychological Association to the list of accredited institutions accepting former Argosy University students who were pursing Clinical Psy.D. degrees.

Former Argosy Psy.D. students who are interested in transferring to Albizu's Psy.D. Program should contact Dr. Kristen Farrell-Turner, Director of Clinical Training, at [email protected] to start the application process. Albizu President Dr. Jose Pons stresses that students will benefit from close mentorships with faculty, practice at the on campus Albizu clinic and outstanding internship sites.

Albizu University, founded in 1966, offers the only Psy.D. degree in Miami Dade County. The university is known for its pioneering work addressing issues of diversity and multiculturalism in the training of psychologists. The Clinical Psy.D.  and the Doctoral Internship programs are accredited by the American Psychological Association. The institution is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is licensed by the Commission for Independent Education of the Florida Department of Education.
