4WEB Medical Announces Record Performance in Q4 2018

DALLAS, Feb. 26, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- 4WEB Medical, the industry leader in 3D printed implant technology, announced today that the company achieved its largest quarterly sales revenue to date in Q4 2018.  The record growth was largely driven by the rapid market adoption of the company's Total Lateral Solution that was launched at the 2018 North American Spine Society meeting (NASS).

"The launch of our Total Lateral Solution, featuring the Lateral Spine Truss Systemtm and Lattus XL 15 access solution, has exceeded our expectations.  4WEB has established a clear foothold in the lateral spine fusion market," said Geoff Bigos, Vice President of Spine Sales.  "Generic 3D printed titanium implants lack differentiation and performance characteristics.  We are pleased that 4WEB has separated itself again with game changing innovation that is making a meaningful impact in optimizing lateral fusion outcomes."

4WEB's Q4 performance showed growth in all aspects of the business including sales revenue, units sold, surgical cases and surgeon users.

Tasha White, Director of Marketing, added, "We are extremely happy with the company's performance in 2018.  Expanding the offering of our Posterior Spine Truss Systemtm and launching the Total Lateral Solution allowed us to expand our distribution channel and surgeon users by 20%.  Our double digit growth is a true testament to our proprietary Truss Implant Technologytm and its inherent clinical benefits.  We are pleased to see continued adoption of our interbody technology, which mitigates the chance of subsidence and leverages mechanobiology to stimulate an osteogenic response that facilitates the healing process in fusion procedures."

4WEB Medical is an implant device company founded in 2008 in Dallas, Texas. Thirty years of research in topological dimension theory led to the discovery of a novel geometry, the 4WEB, that can be used as a building block to create high-strength, lightweight web structures. The company leveraged this breakthrough along with cutting-edge 3D printing technology to develop 4WEB Medical's proprietary truss implant platform. The 4WEB Medical product portfolio for spine includes the Cervical Spine Truss System, the Anterior Spine Truss System, the Posterior Spine Truss System, and the Lateral Spine Truss System. 4WEB is actively developing truss implant designs for knee, hip, trauma and patient specific orthopedic procedures.
