PARK CITY, Utah, Feb. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Park City is a renowned international ski destination. It is also home to a few world-class ski resorts, including Deer Valley and Park City. "In addition to ski resorts, Park City is home to a plethora of ski properties, and people looking to sell them," said Higman.
February is the mid-winter rush for ski locals and tourists alike to hit the slopes and spend their down time in cozy properties all around the Wasatch County, Summit County and surrounding regions. For area property owners, many are seriously considering selling as they know buyers are on the lookout for their first ski property as an investment and vacation destination.
In order to help Park City homeowners sell their ski properties, Higman lists the following three tips:
No. 1: Price the property right. "It is imperative that you and your agent educate yourselves about other ski properties in the area and price your home accordingly," stressed Higman. "If you price your property too high, buyers will pass you by, as they can find a similar property at a more reasonable price."
No. 2: Hire a professional photographer. A professional will take eye-catching photos that will set the home apart and entice buyers. They will show the home in its very best light. "You should also have a virtual tour produced," added Higman. "This allows out-of-state buyers the opportunity to 'walk through' the home via their computer."
No. 3: Declutter. When selling any home, it is crucial to declutter, as potential buyers want to see how they will live in the house, not how you lived in it. "Before showing the house, take time to rid it of unnecessary items, packing up and storing the ones you want to keep and donating the rest," concluded Higman.
