Pennsylvania AFL-CIO Mourns the Loss of Civil Rights Activist and Former Senator Harris Wofford


HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 22, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The officers of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO and the vice presidents of our Executive Council send our condolences and prayers to the family of Harris Wofford.  The Pennsylvania State Federation was proud to support Senator Wofford in his 1991 and 1994 bids for the U.S. Senate.

"I met Harris working while working together on Bob Casey Sr.'s first gubernatorial campaign.  Harris Wofford was an intelligent, thoughtful, and incredibly kind human being.  He never stopped fighting for workers' and civil rights.  He will be greatly missed," remarked President Rick Bloomingdale.
