Therap's Mobile App Allows Instant Reporting and Point-of-Service Documentation in the Community

WATERBURY, Conn., Jan. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap mobile app for Android and iOS enables support professionals working in the home or community to navigate service programs for the individual they support, and remotely document outcomes and service data. Providers can enter progress notes, communication entries, goals and service data, and record medication administration using Therap's mobile app. Additionally, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) is available so that providers can meet the requirements of the 21st Century CURES Act regarding accountable and verifiable service delivery.

The tools available within Therap's mobile app allow Program Managers and Quality Assurance Directors to view data recorded at the point-of-service, either remotely or from a central office, and evaluate the quality of service. App users may take photos of the service, both date and time stamped. As a HIPAA security feature, photos taken within the app are directly uploaded to Therap and do not save to the individual device. Actions taken by the documenting service provider submitting data is coupled with their electronic signature. Along with GPS location tracking, this provides multi-level data authentication and enables Quality Assurance personnel to monitor service provision, increasing accountability and transparency while reducing or eliminating an agency's exposure to give-back or recoupment.

The EVV tool within Therap's mobile app helps facilitate the service delivery authentication process. Therap's EVV tools assist providers with collecting data in the field, from point-of-service by the person directly providing the services. To increase efficiency, Therap's EVV works with Therap's Scheduling system to build and review staff schedules.  Staff can see location assignments and use the map to navigate to changing service locations, and note services provided. With geolocation and timestamp features, staff can easily touch to verify service, location, add notes, and reliably check in and out using their handheld device with a single swipe.
