Coming Soon to the 2019 iaedptm Symposium: Tradition Highlights Annual Symposium


PEKIN, Ill., Jan. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- When the 2019 iaedptm Symposium officially begins in just three weeks on February 7 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert, California, opening day ceremonies will feature the traditional Presentation of the Colors, followed by the iaedptm Chapter State Flags and International Flags, honoring the professionals who come together each year to advance learning, share groundbreaking information and engage with the world's most renowned eating disorders professionals.

This year, 19 U.S. states will be represented at the 33rd annual iaedptm Symposium: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. A record 10 countries also will be represented, including Jamaica, United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, Costa Rica, Australia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Columbia and the United States.

"The iaedptm Chapter State Flags and iaedptm International Flags celebrate and honor our national and international chapters that we all are so proud of," said Bonnie Harken, Managing Director of the iaedptm Foundation.

In fact, this year's Symposium features eight sessions presented in Spanish only, addressing the latest in eating disorder treatment, causes and science ? much like the other nearly 60 sessions that are in English.

The 2019 iaedptm Symposium takes place over four days, February 7-10, and features presentations, workshops and various special events. Registration information can be found at iaedp.com.

Pre-symposium activity kicks-off on Wednesday, February 6 with the return of the popular core courses. The Symposium's opening day on Thursday, February 7 features the grand opening reception prior to start-up of the presentations and workshops that continue through Sunday, February 10.
