ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Approximately 46,500 residential and 6,000 commercial VT Gas customers, spanning the service territory of Franklin, Chittenden and Addison counties in northwest Vermont, will be able to access the MyMeter platform. There, they can see their energy usage in a whole new way, with dynamic and interactive charts, access to tools for energy use feedback, alerts, analytics, as well as functionality to easily view and pay their gas bill.
"Keeping in line with our mission to make things easier for our customers, support our community, and provide the very best customer service, this year we joined forces with AI to launch their MyMeter portal," said Eric Hillmuth, Developer and Project Manager at VT Gas.
To access MyMeter, VT Gas customers will go to their portal and set up a secure login to access their account. There they can navigate through their usage in easy to read chart or heat map display views and set specific date ranges to pinpoint a month or season to analyze and compare things like weather conditions.
VT Gas customers can also utilize MyMeter to add customizable markers to track important events and monitor associated energy changes, which prompts the portal to provide them with important alerts. Usage thresholds can be set by the customer, to provide notification via text or email when usage hits a specified amount. VT Gas customers can also add detail on their personal property profile and set energy savings goals, as well as view their billing history and pay their current bills.
Josh Headlee, Founder and CEO of AI added, "We welcome the Vermont Gas team to the MyMeter family as our newest utility partner, and we are thankful to be able to support the state of Vermont's clean energy future. We look forward to continuing to innovate with smart data to keep our commitment to VT Gas for its customers and for the broader community, culture and our climate."
AI has been connecting communities through technology-driven energy data across the United States for a decade. By including VT Gas in the portfolio of utility partners, they continue to strengthen their position as a secure, one-stop shop for customer care, customer account access, customer experience, and billing and payments.
Hillmuth concluded, "We have confidence that MyMeter will not only help us realize verified energy savings and improve customer care, but also get our customers the information they need to allow them to be more engaged with their energy usage and with us, as their gas provider, to keep their families comfortable all year long."
