Cadillac Fairview and Lyft Announce a First-to-Market Exclusive Partnership to Deliver Innovative New Experiences

Dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones, enhanced Lyft app functionality and special offers await visitors, shoppers, office workers and retail employees at CF Toronto Eaton Centre

TORONTO, Dec. 14, 2018 /CNW/ - An exclusive new partnership between Cadillac Fairview (CF) and Lyft will be offered to the millions who visit CF Toronto Eaton Centre starting this holiday season. In a first-of-its kind partnership for Lyft with a shopping centre in Canada, the partnership establishes a dedicated pick-up and drop-off zone, enhanced Lyft app experience and special offers for Lyft riders to and from CF Toronto Eaton Centre beginning on December 14.

As a downtown Toronto landmark and the busiest shopping centre in North America, CF Toronto Eaton Centre is one of Lyft's most popular destinations for picking up and dropping off visitors. This exclusive partnership with CF leverages a strong relationship between the two companies, both of whom specialize in connecting consumers and communities throughout the entire year. Together, CF and Lyft recognize the importance of providing customers with seamless and enhanced service offerings so they can spend more time with family and friends.

The program is one of many new initiatives CF is testing. The Lyft pick-up zone will be on James Street at Albert's Way, located outside of Aritzia at CF Toronto Eaton Centre's west exit. An enhanced app experience allowing riders to better select where they want to be dropped off and picked up based on what restaurant, office or retailer they are visiting and special offers will also be available shortly after the launch of the program.

"As a leader in digital innovation, CF continues to invest in a number of initiatives that are helping our shoppers make the most of their retail in-mall experience," said Jose Ribau, Executive Vice President, Digital & Innovation, Cadillac Fairview. "Consumers told us they want more personalized experiences to help them get inspired, get rewarded and be efficient. We are excited to be partnering with Lyft in a pilot program that will allow us to continue gathering feedback and adapt as needed to always reflect what shoppers are looking for."

"We're committed to offering experiences and services that help bring families and friends together from near and far and we're thrilled to partner with Lyft to elevate the travel experience at CF," said Craig Flannagan, Vice President, Marketing, Cadillac Fairview. "We encourage everyone to hop in a Lyft, come together, make and share memories, and experience all that CF has to offer this holiday season and beyond. Meet you there!"

CF Toronto Eaton Centre was the proud winner of a 2018 Lyftie Award, celebrating North America's most-visited destinations, in the 'Only in Toronto' category earlier this month. New Lyft users are invited to partake in the celebration and are eligible to receive $5 off their first four rides until January 31, 2019 with a Special Rider Code: RIDE2SHOP.

"On the heels of our first anniversary in Toronto, we're honoured to partner with a local institution like CF Toronto Eaton Centre," said Aaron Zifkin, Managing Director for Canada at Lyft. "As the mall's Exclusive Rideshare Partner, we're so excited to help riders get to and from their shopping with ease, and help drivers maximize their trips."
