Jobs Added in Syracuse with New Cellular Sales Store Opening


SYRACUSE, N.Y., Dec. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cellular Sales, the largest independent Verizon Wireless retailer by volume, announces their newest Upstate New York store, located in Syracuse. The new Cellular Sales location is expected to bring new jobs to the community over the next year.

On November 16, the store located at 6511 Thompson Road in Shop City Shopping Center welcomed its first customers. This is Cellular Sales' second store in Syracuse.

"We're excited for the opportunity to expand our store locations in Upstate New York and Syracuse," said Cellular Sales Regional Director Luke Fletcher. "The opportunity to expand our service is exciting to us and why we chose to open an additional store in Syracuse."

The store currently employs six team members with plans to add at least a dozen new team members as the store continues to grow over the next year.

Due to their innovative approach to customer service, Cellular Sales has grown significantly over the past 25 years. It has been named to Inc. Magazine's 5000 list of the fastest growing companies nine times, achieving Hall of Fame status.

After four to six weeks of training with senior sales reps, Cellular Sales' recruits, begin selling on their own. This training period is seen as a time where new team members are equipped the best possible tools for success. Team members are encouraged to view themselves as entrepreneurs with the support of an established, successful company backing them up.

Cellular Sales believes that training and support is valuable from a personal and professional development aspect, as well as generating loyal and competent employees. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects demand for retail sales jobs to grow over the next decade and sales experience will be valuable.
