Douglas Thompson Joins The Chartis Group as Member of the Firm's Growing Information and Technology Practice


CHICAGO, Dec. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Chartis Group, a leading provider of comprehensive advisory services and analytics to the healthcare industry, is pleased to announce that Douglas Thompson has joined the firm's Information & Technology (IT) Practice leadership team. Mr. Thompson brings over 30 years of consulting and research experience to Chartis.

Mr. Thompson is a leading national expert in planning and measuring the value of healthcare information technologies and translating these technologies into operations improvements and strategic advantage. His consulting and research experience includes information technology benefits realization and measurement, IT systems implementation and optimization, health IT and consumerism, product value analysis for health IT vendors and the development of performance measurement and improvement systems. He is currently a member of the HIMSS Innovation Committee and is the founder and former Chair of the HIMSS Clinical Information Systems Benefits Task Force.

He also was a consultant for Navigant, CSC, First Consulting Group and EY where he advised hundreds of leading hospitals and assisted large and small health IT vendors.

Mr. Thompson earned his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Columbia University's Business School and his Bachelor of Science in General Business from Brigham Young University.
