Nike Volleyball Camps to Offer New Position Volleyball Camp this Summer in Maryland

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Dec. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This summer volleyball camp in Maryland will now contain a special camp program geared towards players wanting to sharpen their skills as hitters, setter and liberos.

The Nike Volleyball Camp at McDaniel College has continually sold out for the past four summers. Last summer was a record year for the volleyball camp, with over 70 girls in attendance. Players from across the East Coast came to master their jump serve and dive properly across a court.

When asked about how her daughter improved during the 2018 summer camp, parent Megan R. said "My daughter's confidence on the court grew and I attribute it to the positive feedback, constructive criticism, and overall encouragement."

This new 2019 position specialty volleyball camp allows players, ages 12-18, to hone their skills in a specific position for the duration of camp. Coach Wolverton and her staff will help campers develop the proper mechanics for each position through specialized training and drills used by college athletes.

"The staff here at McDaniel is thrilled about the addition of position-specific work to our camp lineup," says Coach Wolverton. "Our goal is always to give players new developmental procedures to carry with them into their high school seasons and being able to focus on one facet of their game in-depth gives us that opportunity."

The new addition will follow the All Skills Volleyball Camp, allowing campers to maximize the opportunity to grow in their position.
