Smart Energy Water and Zpryme to Host Inaugural WE3 Summit in Palo Alto

PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Zpryme, an Austin-based energy and technology research company, today announced that it is partnering with Smart Energy Water, the world's leading global smart energy water cloud platform, to host the inaugural WE3 Summit in Palo Alto on March 15, 2019. This first of its kind summit will provide a forum to drive the dialogue and conversation around creating a resilient, environmentally sustainable, and economically accessible water-energy eco-system needed for billions worldwide today and tomorrow.

"Our research and work in the energy industry has focused on digital transformation, and based on this work we know that these new tools can and are transforming the way the world accesses and uses its precious resources such as clean water and power as well how we handle utilization of these resources and their role in creating a sustainable future," said Jason Rodriguez, CEO of Zpryme. "With the WE3 Summit, we will connect industry thought leaders with global and local governments, municipalities, electric and water utilities to foster an environment of collaboration that results in not just discussions but long-term solutions that can be implemented in their backyards as well as worldwide."

Creating a resilient, environmentally sustainable, and economically accessible energy water ecosystem is possible if the global community can martial an effective collective response. The WE3 Summit will focus on the creation of this response. Educating, engaging, and empowering the provision of financial resources and a new technology framework is the ethos of the event. Along with speakers including government officials from California, well-known artists and entertainers and industry-leading tech giants will use the event to discuss the need for digital technology to modernize business models, reshape policies, and ignite a spirit of innovation needed to empower the water-energy transformation. Attendees will also experience a unique day dedicated to educating, engaging and empowering the water-energy transformation.

"We are excited to be partnering with Zpryme to host the WE3 Summit in Palo Alto. Many communities across the world lack access to important resources such as water and electricity. By educating, engaging and empowering our industry leaders, we can meet these challenges in the 21st century through digital transformation," added Eric Dresselhuys, President of Smart Energy Water.

Rodriguez concluded: "We're thrilled to partner with Smart Energy Water and expect that this unique gathering will inspire attendees to implement and improve technologies and services for some of the world's most-needed resources in a transformative way."

About WE3 Summit

For the last quarter of century environmental advocates have been asking the question "what kind of world do we want to leave for our children?" The question should be, "what kind of world do we want to live in ourselves?" Worldwide, 768 million people do not currently have access to a safe, reliable source of water and more than 1.3 billion do not have dependable electricity. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, global energy consumption reached 596.7 quad BTU in 2017, a 13% increase from 2010 levels. Global water consumption reached 4,800 billion cubic meters per year in 2017, up by 10% over 2010 levels, according to the Global World Bank Water data. Providing better access to people must also be accomplished without further contributing to the growing crisis that is climate change. Through a series of conversations, presentations, and demonstrations the challenges facing the energy-water nexus will be highlighted in a revolutionary way. WE3 will be the focal point of a movement dedicating to using digital technology to modernize business models, reshape policies, enhance customer experience, and ignite a spirit of innovation. Join SEW and Zpryme in Palo Alto to experience a unique day dedicating to educating, engaging, and empowering the water-energy transformation. For more information, visit we3summit.com.
