Nike Volleyball Camp Adds a Second Session to University of Mary Washington

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Dec. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The 2019 season will mark the seventh summer of the Virginia volleyball camp sponsored by Nike. A very popular program, this camp has a history of selling out each year. This girls volleyball camp in Fredericksburg will be directed and coached Matt Troy. Coach Troy is entering his sixth year as head coach with the University of Mary Washington Eagles.

During the 2018 season, Troy led the team to a 21-12 finish, earning a birth to the NCAA DIII tournament. The UMW team dominated in the CAC (Capital Athletics Conference), going 7-0, and earning all three Rookie, Player and Coach of the Year awards. Two of his players were also selected with AVCA All-East Region honors.

This summer, Coach Troy and his elite staff have added a second session to the camp. Players will be able to choose from two different sessions, with an overnight and extended camp option available. More competitive players can also elect to work in the Advanced camp that will challenge them at a more elite level.

"Coach Troy always delivers a top-notch program, so we are excited he's now offering a second session so we can provide the opportunity for more players to train with him," say Siera Love, VP of Nike Volleyball Camps.

Registration for 2019 is now open for girls, ages 8-18. Players, coaches, and parents interested in Nike Volleyball Camps can visit http://www.ussportscamps.com/volleyball/nike or call 1-800-645-3226.
