Education Elements Announces Jason Bedford to Join as New Managing Partner

SAN CARLOS, Calif., Nov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Education Elements ? a K-12 consultancy that has supported more than 800 schools and school districts with shifts in culture, pedagogy, and other critical strategic initiatives ? announced today that Jason Bedford will be joining as a Managing Partner responsible for supporting strategic district initiatives and partnering with district leaders to add capacity to their transformation efforts.

Bedford joins the organization with twenty years of experience in education having held executive leadership positions with leading education technology companies. Most recently, Bedford served as the Chief Customer Officer at eSpark Learning, where he supported educators in their practice and focused on equity and student achievement. Prior to this, he served as Senior Vice President of Client Engagement and Success at DreamBox Learning, where his focus was strategy and organizational effectiveness to support teaching, learning, and instructional quality transformation.

He has also served at Blackboard as the Vice President of Global Sales and at ALERTNOW as Vice President and General Manager overseeing all departments. Before embarking on his journey in edtech, Bedford was an educator in the Wake County Public School System for 5 years.

"In the years that Jason worked with high-quality edtech companies, our team has had the chance to partner with him as we support school districts that are working to transform teaching and learning," said Amy Jenkins, Chief Operating Officer of Education Elements. "We are thrilled that he has now joined our team and that together we will have an even greater impact."

"District leaders, school leaders, and teachers are doing the most important work; designing learning experiences that shape this next generation intellectually, emotionally, and socially," said Bedford. "I am excited to draw upon my experiences in the classroom and leading edtech companies over the past two decades to partner closely with education leaders."

"Districts that leveraged Education Elements, in my past experience, were significantly more organized and intentional about the academic purpose of instructional technology. These districts were able to evaluate, decide, and implement digital curriculum as part of a larger teaching and learning vision because they had a clear purpose, thoughtful structure, and support plans for teachers and coaches. Education Elements' work created a strong foundation within districts that was evident and consistent. I am looking forward to joining the team and carrying the work and mission forward."

Education Elements is currently supporting districts in Alaska, Texas, Georgia, Florida, and New York among others to help them to make the shift to more personalized learning, improve teacher retention and recruitment systems, and develop innovative leaders within schools and districts.
