Media Advisory - Minister Wilkinson will announce new Oceans Protection measures for British Columbia


RICHMOND, BC, Nov. 14, 2018 /CNW/ - The Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, will announce new measures for British Columbia as part of the Government of Canada's Oceans Protection Plan. This plan is the largest investment ever made in Canada's coasts and waterways, and will improve marine safety and responsible shipping, protect Canada's marine environment, and will offer new possibilities for Indigenous and coastal communities.

Media are invited to attend the event. After the announcement, there will be an opportunity for media to ask questions.
