Darren Murry Hired As New Boys' Head Lacrosse Coach At Our Lady of Good Counsel High School

OLNEY, Md., Nov. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Our Lady of Good Counsel High School is excited to announce that it has hired a new head coach for the boys' lacrosse program.

Darren Murray has been coaching lacrosse for over 15 years. Darren is the founder of East Side Athletic Training, where he has trained athletes from elementary school to the professional level.  Darren was named US Lacrosse Coach of the year and Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 2012 by the Montgomery County Gazette.  For the past two seasons, Darren has served on the Good Counsel lacrosse coaching staff, most recently serving as the Offensive Coordinator.  Darren lives in Silver Spring, MD with his wife Amy, and their two boys, Nolan and Peyton.

"In Darren, we are getting a proven, experienced coach," says Athletic Director, Pat Bates. "We really liked his performance over the last two years as an assistant coach and he has a successful track record coaching high school and youth teams."
