NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ashanti has released the single 'I Know,' to bring awareness to the stress and anxiety affecting so many of today's youth. The song features TouchPoints in action, and is emblematic of the campaign to raise awareness of childhood anxiety as a whole.
Over 25 percent of teenagers struggle with mild to moderate anxiety, much of which is brought on by cyber-bullying, intense peer pressure, homework and hormones. TouchPoints, developed over the course of a decade of research by neuropsychologist Amy Serin, Ph.D, offer an alternative tool for anxiety by utilizing bilateral alternating stimulation tactile (BLAST) technology to alleviate underlying stress within seconds.
To create maximum impact, The TouchPoint Solution partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs Alumni and Friends network, Indiegogo and Singing for Superheroes to bring TouchPoints into Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the country to reduce childhood anxiety. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs Alumni & Friends is to advance the development of Club alumni around the country and enable all young people to reach their full potential.
Singing for Superheroes, founded by Grammy award-winning Steven Battey and Alix Petersen, brings further awareness to children facing disabilities and diseases through the power of music.
"When we researched the device that Touchpoint Solutions has brought to those afflicted with anxiety we were impressed with the ingenuity as well as how effective the device is," Petersen said.
Battey co-wrote 'I Know,' with Ashanti, also Boys & Girls Club alum, that intends to bring awareness to the stress and anxiety affecting so many of today's youth. New York Giants players BJ Goodson and Michael Thomas wrote the latter part of the song as they also share a passion for helping youth.
"Sometimes when there's a lot going on, be it in career, personal life or things in general... I'll wake up with my stomach in knots," Ashanti said. "That has to be especially hard for kids."
The Indiegogo campaign is due to end on November 20, with a goal of raising $10,000 in each state for a cumulative half a million dollars. Donors can give anywhere from $1 to $1,000 and receive perks in exchange for donation from Touchpoints for Club kids to TouchPoints for themselves.
Vicki Mayo, co-founder of TouchPoint Solution, has a significant history with Boys & Girls Clubs. She is a proud Club alum, and was the organization's 2000 Youth of the Year Award winner.
"The Boys & Girls Club was so formative for me -- it instilled a strong sense for helping others at a very young age, and I'm so happy we'll be able to continue to help now," Mayo said. "We've been given the opportunity to join forces on such a large platform, to bring attention to an issue that still has major negative consequences to the health and wellbeing of children."

About TouchPoint Solution
Neuropsychologist Amy Serin, Ph.D., and child advocate Vicki Mayo founded The Touchpoint Solution in late 2015 with the mission of bringing relief to the millions of people who suffer from stress and anxiety. Over the last decade, Dr. Serin's work in therapy and neuroscience led to the discovery that a component of successful PTSD treatment could be used as a stand-alone product for a range of individuals whose stress and intensities hamper performance, relaxation, sleep, and their ability to cope with sensory stimuli. Dr. Serin recognized that this method was too powerful to be confined to doctors' offices and partnered with long-time friend and entrepreneur Vicki Mayo to bring TouchPointstm to the world.
