Held at the InterContinental Miami Hotel, the invitation-only event brought together more than 375 industry leaders to learn about the latest in material handling. UniCarriers Americas Corporation Concludes First-Ever Forklift Industry Summit

UniCarriers Americas President James J. Radous III discussed the state of both the industry and the company and how UCA is currently investing in new resources to bring the best in forklift technology to the marketplace. Brian Markison, senior director of sales and marketing, addressed attendees on UCA's product roadmap and the company's focus on sales growth.

"I couldn't be happier at the turnout for this event," said Radous. "Bringing our corporate team together with dealers and suppliers creates limitless business opportunities for everyone and is yet another example of how UniCarriers is leading the way. Coming off our best year ever not only affirms our direction, but allows us to reinvest in our people, our partners, our products and our customers."

Jude Rake, founder and CEO of JDR Growth Partners, and Josh Bond, senior editor of Modern Materials Handling magazine, joined as keynote speakers for the general session. Rake enlightened attendees on the power of servant leadership and how it achieves better results for businesses. Bond revealed exclusive findings from Peerless Media's annual "Lift Truck User Survey" that dealers can use as they build out their strategies for the near future.

During the summit, UCA revealed new offerings for its dealer network from UniCarriers Capital and UniCarriers System Solutions. UniCarriers Capital will provide dealers with enhanced financing offerings. UniCarriers System Solutions offers UniCarriers-branded automated guided vehicles (AGVs) manufactured by Rocla, a sister company based in Europe.

"We have a passion for continuous improvement and are always looking for opportunities to provide new solutions to our dealers," said Markison. "We're only successful by helping our dealers be successful."

UCA suppliers lined the InterContinental Miami's conference space and showcased their products and services to the UCA dealer network. Show special pricing offered by aftermarket suppliers were well received by dealers.

"I've been coming to dealer meetings for almost 30 years, and this new approach of bringing together both the dealers and suppliers is a positive one," said Tony Sessa, President of UCA authorized dealer, CFE Equipment Corporation. "UniCarriers is always considering how we can further develop and expand our businesses, and I like how informative and helpful these meetings have become. The extra day of meetings is a great addition to the agenda because it gives dealers even more opportunities."

Charles Vogl, CEO and President of Northfield Industries and recipient of a 2017 top supplier award said, "UniCarriers and our team have a multi-level connection. Their team works with us not only on a daily basis, but on a strategic basis, which is the secret to our success."

"The summit is a great opportunity to connect with the people that we sell our end parts to. We help create the product that they sell to the end user. The set up worked very well in bringing everyone together," Vogl adds.
