Miramichi Comes Alive (and Dead) This October with Seasonal Events for All Ages

MIRAMICHI, New Brunswick, Oct. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- This October, visitors to the Miramichi region of New Brunswick ? known as "Atlantic Canada's Great Outdoors" ? will find a vibrant array of activities and events to experience with (or without) the family.  A popular destination for both summer and winter outdoor enthusiasts, Miramichi also comes alive each fall with stunning foliage, haunted mazes, and culinary adventures.

Halloween Carnevil at the Central New Brunswick Woodmen's Museum: October 19 ? 20
Those who dare to roam the outdoor haunted house of Central New Brunswick Woodmen's Museum's Halloween Carnevil, will find decor with nods to old time circus carnivals, and ghouls like zombies wandering the grounds. Available from 7:30pm to 9pm, rates start at $10 CAD per adult, $5 CAD per youth ages 13-16. Due to the event's high scare factor, a Halloween-themed crafts area is set aside for children 12 and under. 

Fletcher's Farm Haunted Maze: October 19, 20, 25, 26, 27
Miramichi's newest fall attraction, Fletcher's Farm's five-acre corn maze, gets spooky with haunted additions to its signature maze. The farm features actors in costume hiding throughout the haunted maze, and haunted wagon rides. Rates start at $16 CAD per adult. The signature (non-haunted) maze is also available from October 1 to 27.

Graveyard Walk at Wilson's Point: October 26
With Beaubears Island Interpretive Centre, visitors can get a guided tour through one of the oldest graveyards in Miramichi. The "Graveyard Walk" experience tells the harrowing story of the Acadian Expulsion and features characters dressed as vengeful lumberjacks and ghouls. Available from 7pm to 8pm and 9pm to 10pm, the tour begins at the St. Johns church.

Food Truck FEASTival at Waterford Green: October 13
Feast alongside family and friends during Change Miramichi's second annual Food Truck FEASTival at Waterford Green. The festival includes a variety of food trucks, vendors, live performers, and fireworks. Available from 12pm to 1am, admission is free.
