Fast Lane Automotive Helping to Feed the Hungry of Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Father-and-son business Fast Lane Automotive is helping Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida feed the hungry from now until November 19. Fast Lane, through its "Brakes for Food" initiative, is offering a brake special where customers pay for the labor and the brake pads are free. Ten percent of the proceeds will go to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

"We are also accepting in-store donations," said Anthony Lane, owner of Fast Lane Automotive. "Our goal is to raise $5,000 for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida."

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores and distributes donated food to more than 550 feeding partners in six Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia. Last year, with the help of numerous donors, volunteers and a caring, committed community, the food bank distributed nearly 56 million meals to partner programs such as food pantries, soup kitchens, women's shelters, senior centers, day care centers, and Kids Cafes.
