Sudden off-duty death of RCMP member near Kugluktuk

KUGLUKTUK, NU, April 7, 2018 /CNW/ - Royal Canadian Mounted Police in "V" Division (Nunavut) are presently investigating the sudden off-duty death of one of their own near the community of Kugluktuk.

The death occurred as a result of a snowmobile accident near an area known as Blood Falls, in Kugluk Territorial Park - approximately 20 minutes outside of the community.

The RCMP is investigating and additional resources are being sent to the community from Iqaluit.

The Office of the Chief Coroner is also involved.

More information will be provided as it becomes known.
