ITRP Changes Its Name to 4me

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The ITRP Institute, a startup dedicated to improving the success of outsourcing, has changed its name to 4me.

4me was founded by a team of service management experts to give organizations practical tools that help them control the level of service they obtain from their managed service providers (MSPs). The SaaS enterprise service, which is now also called 4me, is the first to offer comprehensive support for the Service Integration and Management (SIAM) approach. 4me makes it possible for all organizations involved in the support of employees to work together without relying on technical integrations between service management applications.

The name change was needed for two reasons. The first acknowledges the global trend that has pushed ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) practices beyond IT into the other functions that support an organization's core business.

"The 'IT' in 'ITRP' no longer covered the scope of our service," said Cor Winkler Prins, CEO and co-founder of 4me. "Most of our enterprise customers already use the 4me service for more than one support domain. In many cases they still start in IT, but even that is changing. HR is now almost as likely to take the lead as IT."

The second reason for the name change was the feedback received from customers. The name sounded a bit technical to their employees who use the self-service capabilities. "In the end, 4me is there for the enterprise employee," explained Cor Winkler Prins. "When they have a question, are confronted with an incident or need to order something, they take out their smartphone and go to 4me. The name now reflects the core purpose of the service, which is always there and personalized for them."
