Banking and Securities Secretary Robin L. Wiessmann Recognized as One of Pennsylvania's '50 Over 50'

HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Secretary of Banking and Securities Robin L. Wiessmann was recognized as one of Pennsylvania's "50 Over 50" by City & State Pennsylvania. The award honors the most influential Pennsylvanians in government, business, culture and social services to have passed the half-century milestone.

Among Secretary Wiessmann's ground-breaking accomplishments in her current role:

• Creation of one of the nation's first state regulatory Cybersecurity Task Forces, which provides businesses access to resources and industry best practices to bolster cybersecurity policies and practices
• Leadership of Governor Wolf's Consumer Financial Protection Initiative, which works to protect consumers and business from illegal lending; protect senior citizens from financial abuse; and help working adults save for retirement
• Reorganizing and refocusing the department's consumer services and business outreach functions, including publishing the first Consumer Services Office Annual Report

She is also a well-known pioneer in financial circles, having served as Pennsylvania State Treasurer, and founding principal and president of Artemis Capital Group, the first women-owned investment banking firm on Wall Street.
