Maine Fitness Club Makes Ilios its Choice for Hot Water
WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwired - August 01, 2017) - Tecogen® Inc. (NASDAQ: TGEN), a clean energy company providing ultra-efficient, clean, natural gas powered on-site power, heating and cooling equipment, is pleased to announce the sale of an Ilios high efficiency air-source water heater to a sports and fitness facility near Bangor, ME. As there is no natural gas distribution system in the region, this Ilios unit will run on propane and will consume only half the energy as the oil-fired water heater it replaces.
"In areas lacking access to natural gas, there is no 'spark spread' to drive the economics of traditional co-gen equipment," said Tecogen Product Manager Stephen Lafaille. "Heating costs tend to be higher due to the reliance on more expensive fuels such as propane and home heating oil.
