Summer in Park City Serves Up Fun, Any Way You Like It

Resorts Launch Summer Operations

Deer Valley Resort
Summer fun at Deer Valley Resort is right around the corner. Beginning June 17, Deer Valley's slopes will transform into pristine mountain biking trails, stunning hiking, incredible chairlift views, al fresco dining and the perfect setting for outdoor concerts at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater, where headlining musicians, world-renowned artists and local bands regularly take the stage. This summer, Deer Valley will expand on last year's mountain biking enhancements by continuing to work with world-renowned bike resort development company, Gravity Logic, to build a new beginner "flow" trail called Holy Roller. Deer Valley Resort Lodging and Reservations offers a wide selection of accommodations and summer lodging packages in the resort area, including the Deer Valley Concert Package and Mountain Activities Package.

Park City Mountain Resort
After making a historic debut this winter as the largest ski resort in the United States, Park City Mountain Resort is gearing up for summer. Guests of Park City will find miles of breathtaking hiking and mountain biking trails connecting two distinct base areas, a robust lineup of free summer events and outdoor concerts, idyllic mountain dining and a variety of outdoor activities for families including a 4,000 ft alpine coaster, multiple zip lines, and one of the world's longest alpine slides. New this summer, Park City will open three new activities for children including a zip line for small children, a kids' challenge course and a kids' summer tubing hill. Guests will also find a new summer menu at The Farm, ranked one of Utah's 25 Best Restaurants. The Park City Base Area and Canyons Golf will open for summer operations on Friday, May 27. The Canyons Village Base Area will open on Friday, June 17. Guests wishing to stay mountainside can take advantage of summer lodging packages at Park City including the Stay and Play Golf Package or the Mountain Romance Package. Utah Olympic Park
Utah Olympic Park has been busy readying the 2002 Olympic facility for the summer season. Utah Olympic Park is open for daily summer activities May 27-September 5, featuring the signature summer Comet Bobsled ride, Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Shows, three adventure ropes courses, zip lines, alpine slide and Extreme Tubing on the Nordic Ski Jumps. A variety of sport camps are also available for kids ages 7 and up. The UOP will also host a series of thrilling events this summer, including The Psicobloc Masters Series (August 3-5), and the return of the wildly popular Utah Olympic Park Slip 'n Soar. Special Events Abound All Season Long
Summer in Park City yields just as many festivals, events, and cultural activities as we have mountain trails to explore. From monthly gallery strolls to concerts under the stars, and live theater to the Sundance Summer Film Series, there's plenty to enjoy, and our free public shuttles make it easy to get to it all.

Here are a few of our annual highlights:

Savor the Summit (June 18, 2016) -- Savor the Summer Solstice as one long dinner table graces the length of Park City's Historic Main Street, allowing over 1,500 diners to join in celebration of fabulous food, outdoor dining, live music and the kickoff to summer in Park City.

Park City Food and Wine Classic (July 7-10, 2016) -- The 12th annual festival offers a variety of unique experiences on the mountain, in restaurants, classrooms, and around town, which can increase your knowledge and enjoyment of food and wine as well as the experiences Park City has to offer.

Tour of Utah (August 7, 2016) -- The Tour of Utah is a premier showcase of International professional cycling competition. Park City's Historic Main Street will be the start and finish site for the challenging and final Stage Seven on Sunday, August 7, featuring some of the steepest climbs and fastest descents in pro cycling.

Kimball Arts Festival (August 12-14, 2016) -- The Kimball Art Center is set to host the 47th annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival, one of the top art festivals in the country, in Park City, UT. More than 200 selected artists, 30 live bands, wine and beer gardens and the Kimball Kid's Corner will highlight the event.

Autumn Aloft (September 16-18, 2016) -- The Autumn Aloft balloon festival originated over 30 years ago and quickly became a one of the "must-see events" in Park City. In 2014, after nearly a two decade hiatus, Autumn Aloft returned to Park City, Utah. Autumn Aloft returns for its 3rd installment this year, featuring 24 hot air balloonists and will include Saturday and Sunday morning launch events and a candlestick event on Saturday evening.

Only in Park City
Park City is home to a handful of summer activities that share the "local flavor" of our mountain town community. From free outdoor concerts to Wednesday's Farmer's Market to the Park Silly Sunday Market and the locally guided Park City Food Tours, visitors are welcomed to experience Park City like a local.
