Caurus Academy to Perform National School Choice Week Dance


ANTHEM, Ariz., Jan. 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Several hundred students from Caurus Academy will gather at the school to perform the official National School Choice Week dance at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25. The celebratory performance will conclude an entire week of school choice festivities, including parent socials and luncheons for chamber and business members in the community.

The performance will take place at 41900 N. 42nd Ave. and will also feature remarks on school choice by Dameon Blair, Caurus Academy's director. 

This event is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.

"We look forward to celebrating school choice and the way it changes lives for the better," said Kelley Camasto, events administrator at Caurus Academy. "The all-school performance of the National School Choice Week dance will be a fun way to top off the week." 

Caurus Academy is a free, independent public charter school serving more than 550 students in grades K-10.

As a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country.
