Sam Boak of Boak & Sons Elected President of The Builders Association

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, Jan. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sam Boak is an active member in his community and industry trade organizations. On December 5, 2018, he was elected to serve as President of The Builders Association in 2019. The Builders Association is a group of local construction professionals in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Sam Boak has been a member for the past 25 years.

"I am honored to serve as 2019 President for The Builders Association," says Sam Boak. "While I am involved with many organizations, I find this one particularly valuable for Boak & Sons. I am excited to work with the other 2019 officers to enhance the organization's mission to provide with every tool possible to ensure they have the most skilled, productive crews that deliver quality work. It's an incredible group. I'm anxious to see what 2019 brings for the organization."

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019, The Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania has 150 members. They are regionally focused, serving Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in Ohio, and Lawrence and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania. They represent the most reputable firms in all phases of the construction industry; they cover fifteen different skill trades!

Members of The Builders Associations have access to state-of-the-art education and training, unlimited manpower from apprenticeship and union labor halls, and a pool of technical, administrative and support resources. Members consistently rank customer satisfaction as their top priority and are known to go above and beyond what's expected in order to get the job done right. It is an elite group of construction professionals in the area.

Sam Boak has been a member of The Builders Association since around 1994, and a long-time entrepreneur. He started Boak & Sons at just 18 years old. What began as an insulation contracting company in 1974, grew and expanded. With the high-energy costs of the late '70s, Sam recognized the need for a roofing business that offered an economical way to install a new roof by using cutting-edge technology and equipment, so that the customer could recoup their costs in energy savings. Still more products and services were added in the '80s.

Today, Boak & Sons, Inc. offers both commercial and residential roofing, insulation, sheet metal, windows, siding and gutters. The organization employs 180 individuals, with Sam Boak playing an active role in day-to-day operations as President. The company has grown to its present size and stature with the help of loyal employees, honesty and the reputation for doing a job right for a fair price. The business is located at 75 Victoria Road in Youngstown, Ohio.

Sam Boak personally participates in many organizations outside of The Builders Association. A long-time resident of Canfield, Ohio, Sam has served on the Canfield City Council, the board of the Canfield Historical Society, and as president of the Canfield Rotary. He has made substantial donations to the local War Vet Museum, and for more than a decade, Sam has provided a 4th of July fireworks show for the City of Canfield.

For the Mahoning Valley at large, he has served on the Austintown Rotary and the Home Builders Association. He also serves on the Board of the YMCA and is involved with the local food pantry, Mission of Love, clothing drives, Palm Sunday Pancake breakfast and the Fly The Flag program. During the winter months, he donates coats to kids. He also sponsors lily plants for the congregation at the Canfield Presbyterian Church where he is a member. He and his wife, Donna, make it a priority to give back to the community and it is represented through the charitable actions mentioned above.
