Students Musical and Theatrical Performances Will Feature at Celebration of National School Choice Week

CONCORD, N.H., Jan. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Wearing School Choice Week's signature yellow scarves, New Hampshire students will perform vocal and guitar music, interactive drumming, and theater sketches at a rally beginning at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at the Courtyard by Marriott's Grappone Conference Center.

A variety of educational coalitions and New Hampshire schools, including private schools, public charter schools, and homeschool groups, are among the hundreds of attendees expected at this event.

This event is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.

"New Hampshire has so many great educational opportunities and, as we all know, one size does not fit all," said Kate Baker, executive director of the Children's Scholarship Fund ? New Hampshire. "There are many reasons a family might seek educational options. You could be looking for a more challenging curriculum for a gifted child, more individual attention for a child who's struggling, or a safer school environment for one that has experienced bullying. Whatever the reason, this is our week to celebrate and promote more choices in education! Join us in celebrating the wealth of educational opportunities we have in the Granite State."

This event is being organized by the Children's Scholarship Fund ? New Hampshire, an organization that provides scholarships to empower low-income families to choose the schools that best fit their children's needs.

As a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country. From January 20 through 26, 2019, more than 40,000 independently-planned events will be held in celebration of the Week. For more information, visit www.schoolchoiceweek.com .
