Minister Bains to promote opportunities for investments and Canada's competitive advantages at World Economic Forum
OTTAWA, Jan. 14, 2019 /CNW/ - Canada is home to many creative and innovative people whose ideas will shape the future of the global economy. The Government of Canada is positioning Canada to be a top innovative country that attracts investments which create good jobs for Canadians and grow our economy.
The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, will promote Canada to global investors at the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, from January 22 to 25, 2019. This year's theme, "Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture of the 4th Industrial Revolution," will lead to discussions on shaping the future of the digital economy, advancing Canada's leadership on artificial intelligence, and promoting the Innovation Superclusters Initiative.
Minister Bains will meet with global business and political leaders from around the world to share Canada's innovative approach for driving economic growth and to explore new opportunities for Canadian businesses to succeed.
