InventHelp Inventor Develops Handling Aids for 55-Gallon Drums (CCT-4267)

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "The trash-truck operator refused to empty the drums filled with refuse I had out at the curb for collection," said an inventor from Blue Rock, Ohio. "I came up with this idea so that the trash truck would have convenient hand-holds to automatically grip the trash cans so that such barrels could be emptied easily."

He created a prototype for the BARREL BUDDY & BARREL TAXI to allow a 55-gallon drum to be picked up and dumped out with ease. The device makes it easier for trash collectors to empty 55-gallon drums. It enables an individual to move such drums more conveniently. The unit fits on all 55-gallon drums. In addition, the invention reduces physical stress and strain, which is designed to help reduce the risk of injuries.

The original design was submitted to the Cincinnati office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
