SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today through Sunday, December 9, Triller, an AI-powered music video platform, and its community of influencers are supporting the AFM Telethon through donations, merchandise sales and social media exposure. The Telethon is a 30-hour French TV program geared towards raising funds for the French Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Lea Elui, Triller's top Ambassador, has supported the operation from the beginning by creating video content to share through her social channels that connects her with followers and invites them to join her in raising money for genetic disorders research. The French 17-year old has asked those who follow her on social media to call upon their communities to get involved and donate. "We're thrilled to provide our creators with a platform that allows them to join forces with their fans and followers to collectively raise money for a great cause," said Triller CEO Mike Lu.

From Monday to Friday of this week, Triller's creators have promoted the event by asking their followers to donate directly to the AFM Telethon through a dedicated link in their stories. Through this link, Triller users and their influencer networks purchased gift tickets ranging from five to 25 dollars.

The Triller team designed a t-shirt and a sweatshirt for the event, and will be donating a portion of the total merchandise sales towards the cause. For every product sold, Triller will also donate ten dollars to the Telethon.

The Telethon will close with an announcement from Lea Elui with the results of the operation on France.tv on Sunday evening.
