Media Advisory - Parliamentary Secretary Lockhart to participate in culinary tour, meet local businesses that benefit Canada's tourism sector
RICHMOND, BC, Dec. 3, 2018 /CNW/ - Alaina Lockhart, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie, will participate in a culinary tour in Richmond, British Columbia, and meet with local business owners who support Canada's visitor economy.
During her tour, Parliamentary Secretary Lockhart will discuss the Government of Canada's actions to promote tourism between China and Canada. Increasing tourists from China, and from all countries, strengthens the tourism sector in Canada and helps create good jobs for middle-class Canadian families.
The Parliamentary Secretary will hold a media availability during her visit.
