INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: The Art of the Possible

DETAILS:    Please join Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, a working actor with a disability, and leaders from the global disability community on December 3rd, 2018 at the United Nations. This day presents an opportunity to focus our collective attention on an often overlooked demographic and advance the understanding of disability issues.

Participants will speak candidly about their perspectives for improving the lives of people with disabilities, including increasing awareness of the challenges that this community encounters in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. Technology exhibits from noon to 5pm will feature interactive solutions for human resources, inclusive design, human mobility, web accessibility and internet for all.

*Press Conference will be held before the panel discussion from 11:00AM-11:30AM ET with Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, Martha Helena Lopez, Atefeh Riazi, and Rodger DeRose. Press should arrive at the UN Secretariat Visitors Entrance (1st Ave and 46th Street) by 10:15AM to have enough time to pass through security and enter the building.
