Statement by the Prime Minister on the new government in New Brunswick
OTTAWA, Nov. 30, 2018 /CNW/ - The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on the new government of New Brunswick:
"Under the leadership of Blaine Higgs, the Progressive Conservative Party has formed government in New Brunswick.
"I recently spoke with Premier Higgs, and I look forward to working closely with the new provincial government to continue to create good middle class jobs by supporting the Atlantic Growth Strategy, while safeguarding the environment, and advancing the well-being of Indigenous peoples.
"By working together, we can enhance trade between provinces and territories and take advantage of the economic opportunities in front of us, promote clean growth, and protect the resources and industries at the heart of the province's prosperity.
"I also thank Brian Gallant for his years of service as Premier of New Brunswick, and wish him all the best in the future."
