Solidarity HealthShare: Obamacare Continues to Force More Americans to Choose Between Their Healthcare and Their Conscience in 2019

TEMPE, Ariz., Nov. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Two pro-life research organizations say their fifth annual review of elective abortion coverage under the Affordable Care Act shows an alarming increase in taxpayer-funded abortions in Obamacare-compliant plans. The number of states that allow abortion coverage in 2019 has risen by 23% over 2018 levels.

In 2019 Obamacare Will Force More Americans to Choose Between Healthcare and Conscience, Abortions up 23%, Pro-Life Americans Now Have a Choice

"We are grateful to the Family Research Council and the Charlotte Lozier Institute for staying vigilant (Obamacare Abortion Study) and raising awareness of the ever-increasing threats to life and conscience rights under Obamacare. We at Solidarity continue to push for legislation to prevent taxpayers from funding abortion, and for complete transparency alerting health insurance consumers when their plans cover abortion," said Solidarity HealthShare COO, Chris Faddis.

"The lack of transparency remains the biggest problem for health insurance customers under Obamacare," said Solidarity HealthShare CEO, Brad Hahn. "It hides how plans report abortion coverage, forcing many families to pay indirectly for others' abortions. People need to know that there is a much more ethical and affordable health care option available in all 50 states with Solidarity HealthShare."

Solidarity HealthShare has members, not customers ? it is a community helping one another pay for healthcare expenses, keeping costs down by negotiating fair and reasonable pricing while not paying for immoral medical procedures.

"Make no mistake?our desire is that abortion become not only illegal but unthinkable, and that women have a range of life-affirming options. Until this happens, all who oppose abortion must be made aware of health care plans that are complicit in abortion procedures and find more ethical options like healthcare sharing," said Hahn.

Solidarity HealthShare is a healthcare sharing ministry that offers its members an affordable and ethical way to pay for healthcare. Based on the social and moral doctrine of the Catholic Church, we protect our members' well-formed consciences by sharing in the costs of life-affirming healthcare, and by refusing to participate in unethical medical practices. Our mission is to restore and rebuild an authentic Catholic healthcare system that promotes the sanctity of all human life, while facilitating the sharing of our members' medical expenses.
