Semper Capital Management Named 2018 Best Corporate Steward by U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation

NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has named Semper Capital Management, L.P. Best Corporate Steward, Small and Middle-Market Business, in the 2018 Corporate Citizenship Awards, at its annual Corporate Citizenship Awards ceremony held on November 15^th in Washington, DC.

The Corporate Citizenship Awards honor companies and chambers of commerce from around the world for positive initiatives that create "shared value" in supporting the community, providing a great place for employees to work, and delivering value to shareholders. The Best Corporate Steward Award specifically recognizes Semper Capital Management for leveraging its resources, expertise, and talent to make a positive social impact with firm-wide programs and partnerships.

Parsons, a former U.S. Marine Corps infantry officer, said this program will award scholarships to 10 at-need children of Marine and Navy Corpsmen over the year. Each student receiving a scholarship will also be paired with a Semper employee to build a connection and reinforce the relationship between the two organizations.

Semper also contributes time and effort to Habitat for Humanity NYC, helping to rehabilitate homes to create affordable housing opportunities. Additionally, the firm recently developed a program, "Semper Gives Back," that encourages each employee to donate 40 paid working hours each year to a charitable cause of their choice.

This was the most competitive pool of applicants in the history of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's prestigious awards making them one of the most coveted honors in corporate citizenship.
