Agfa US Corp. Awarded a Three Year Agreement With Premier for High-quality Digital Radiography and Fluoroscopy Imaging Technology

MORTSEL, Belgium and GREENVILLE, South Carolina, November 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --

Agfa US Corp. has been awarded a group purchasing agreement with Premier effective October 1, 2018. Allowing Premier members, at their discretion, to take advantage, of special pricing and terms pre-negotiated by Premier for Agfa's comprehensive line of Direct Radiography (DR) systems. This complete portfolio supports a comprehensive array of DR rooms, mobile DR, DR retrofit and multi-purpose Radiography & Fluoroscopy (R&F) DR systems - where informed diagnosis and treatment decisions are critical for value-based care.

Agfa's DR solutions include features and technologies that minimize exam preparation time, procedure time and the wait for images, enhancing user and patient satisfaction. All Agfa DR solutions include award-winning MUSICA® image processing software. MUSICA technology provides consistent, high-quality results and virtually eliminates the need for post processing adjustments by the technologist or radiologist. The high image quality, when used with Cesium Iodide detector technology, also means up to a 60 percent dose reduction* for patients when Agfa DR systems are used.

"We are very pleased to be awarded this agreement with Premier," comments Jared K. Houk, Regional President, North American Imaging Business Unit at Agfa. "The increased productivity, lower dose and improved image quality that MUSICA empowered DR can provide will continue to benefit Premier members and their patients."

* Testing with board-certified radiologists has determined that Cesium Bromide (CR) and Cesium Iodide (DR) detectors, when used with MUSICA image processing, can provide dose reductions up to 60%, compared to traditional Barium Fluoro Bromide CR systems. Contact Agfa US Corp. for more details.
