Bode, A New Category Of Hospitality, Debuts First Group-Friendly Property In Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Bode, a new hotel category created to meet the growing demand of group lifestyle travelers, today announces the opening of its first property located in Nashville, Tennessee at 401 2nd Avenue South. Occupying a former condominium complex, Bode Nashville offers residence-style hotel accommodations accentuated by lively common spaces for eating, drinking, working and playing. Catering to the next generation of travelers, the concept expertly balances the flexibility and authenticity of vacation rentals with the comfort and conveniences of a boutique hotel.

Located at the intersection of 2nd Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard, Bode Nashville is just steps away from Downtown Nashville where the music, art and epicurean scenes collide. Designed with an emphasis on comfort and flexibility, Bode Nashville affords guests the option to book two- to five-bedroom units boasting spacious living rooms, chef-inspired kitchens, private balconies, and, in some cases, backyards. Traditional one-bedroom hotel room options are also available for independent travelers seeking to partake in the Bode experience.

"Bode aims to serve the group lifestyle traveler - travelers who, whatever the occasion, covet local experiences and connectivity above all else," says Bode CEO, Philip Bates. "We could think of no better city to debut our brand in. Nashville is centered around community and craft culture, making it the epitome of everything Bode and the Bode guest value. We're thrilled to call this electric city our first home."

Flexible Living Meets Sensible Design
With a variety of multi-unit floor plans that range from one to five bedrooms, Bode Nashville appeals to today's jetsetter who is increasingly traveling in groups - whether with friends and family, or even colleagues. Spacious living rooms and private balconies offer a comforting experience akin to spending a weekend at a best friend's apartment, while chef-inspired kitchens equipped with appliances like Haier ranges and GE profile dishwashers allow for in-room drinking and dining at leisure. Premium units boast fenced-in backyards for intimate outdoor gathering.

Designed by Dryden Architecture And Design (DAAD), an award-winning architecture and design studio based in Nashville, the property's design encourages relaxation and socialization without the pressures of the typical hotel. With color and material palettes that are simple yet eclectic, the 100 guest rooms (which can be converted into 40 unique units) are intentionally uncluttered allowing dwellers to adapt the space to feel like their own.

Highlighting local creatives, DAAD tapped local artisans, such as Southern Lights Electric (lighting and lighting design), Emil Erwin (custom leather furniture pulls) and Kings Interiors (custom furniture), among others, to tend to even the most minute details.

For overall brand design and visual messaging, Bode tapped branding agency FINE, who helped bring their vision to life.

All Roads Lead to The Hub
Bode Nashville's heart and soul is the Hub, an inviting and dynamic space for guests and locals alike to gather. Part café and part craft bar, the Hub is a day-to-night setting perfect for an early morning coffee and fresh pastry, an afternoon charcuterie plate, or a late-night local draft. An artisanal market anchors the Hub, equipped with essential groceries (including produce, dairy, beer and wine) for in-room use.

All Hub products are locally sourced, and include coffee from Stay Golden, pastries from Dozen Bakery, bread from Frothy Monkey, regional cheeses from Bloomy Rind, locally crafted charcuterie from Nicky's Coal Fired, cocktail mixes from White's Elixirs, tea from Firepot Nomadic Teas, and more.

Outdoor Spaces Built for Connectivity
The Hub leads to a collection of cozy porches, situated within the building's previously existing carport. Serving as outdoor living rooms, the porches boast views of Nashville's skyline and overlook Bode's courtyard and stage, which will host intimate concerts from local up-and-coming musical artists.

Beyond the Hub, Bode Nashville features additional outdoor breakout spaces for guests to frequent while on-property. Fire pits adorn the grounds and encourage spontaneous bonding, s'more-making and sing-a-longing. Games like ping-pong and cornhole encourage socializing among groups and beyond. And don't forget Otis, Bode's very own 1948 Ford F5 truck - a tailor-made spot for gathering, pre-and-post gaming, dining, and the occasional photo op.

Nightly rates begin at $200 per night for a standard hotel room. Two-bedroom, two bath units and larger begin at $400 per night. To inquire and reserve, guests may visit www.bode.co. Follow the hotel on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
