Alec Baldwin Donates His Performance Fee Back to The Owen Hart Foundation for Friday November 30th Event in Calgary

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- "Alec Baldwin understands that the recent incident in New York City may have caused some negative backlash for The Owen Hart Foundation as he is set to perform for our annual charity event on November 30th. As such, Mr. Baldwin has generously donated his performance fee back to The Owen Hart Foundation. Alec is confident he will be fully released from any potential charges resulting from this incident in New York City and he wants what is best for the charity. He has therefore made this donation to show his support of the work The Owen Hart Foundation does", stated Dr. Martha Hart.

The Owen Hart Foundation is very pleased to present "An Evening with Alec Baldwin" on Friday November 30, 2018 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. This special night will be filled with laughter, impersonations, video clips and political insights from long-time actor/comedian Alec Baldwin. This event will mark the 19th Anniversary of The Owen Hart Foundation and punctuate the great commitment to humanitarian work they do within the Calgary community and beyond helping those with limited resources, but unlimited potential. One of the core values of The Owen Hart Foundation is to be a non-judgmental organization as they are in the business of providing seconds chances to people and do not apply double standards to anyone.

"True to our tradition of hosting outstanding unique artists to the Calgary area The Owen Hart Foundation is exceptionally jubilant to present multiple award winning prolific actor/comedian Alec Baldwin to celebrate our 19th anniversary. Alec Baldwin has had an enormously successful film and television career that has spanned almost 4 decades. His most recent work on SNL has earned him worldwide acclaim, which in my opinion makes him one of the most relevant entertainers of our time. We feel incredibly honored to host such a talented, formidable, and versatile performer; it is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we hope Calgary comes out in full support of this amazing event," stated Dr. Martha Hart, founder and director of The Owen Hart Foundation.

Over the past three decades, Alec Baldwin has established himself as one of Hollywood's most gifted, hilarious, and controversial leading men. His impressive movie credits include: Martin Scorsese's The Departed, Mission Impossible, BeetlejuiceWorking GirlGlengarry Glen RossThe Cooler, among many others, with a recent high-profile cameo in A Star Is Born. For his work in the role of Jack Donaghy on Tina Fey's irreverent series 30 Rock, he won two Emmys, three Golden Globes, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards. And as Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, he has provided much-needed levity in a particularly angst-ridden political climate. In his new memoir Nevertheless, Baldwin transcends his public persona, opening up about facets of his life he has long kept private. Told with his signature candor, savvy, and wit, Nevertheless reveals an Alec Baldwin we have never fully seen before.
