Avail Cannabis Clinic Signs LOI with Local Pharmacy Chain

Company Also Adds First Franchise in North York, Toronto

TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2018 /CNW/ - As a medical team with over 25 years of combined traditional and marijuana-based prescription experience, Avail Cannabis Clinics opened its first site in downtown Orillia, Ontario. After only a few short months of successful operation since July 2018, the company is now set to rebrand, the Tweed Main Street Barrie location by December 1, 2018. With a fast-paced expansion plan, Avail Cannabis has also signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Express Aid Pharmacy to open two family walk-in style clinics offering select conventional and cannabis prescription services. This initiative will be a first for the industry with future collaboration initiatives already in the works.

Pharmacist Andrew Schonbe from Express Aid says, "We are very proud to collaborate with an experienced leader in cannabis promotion and education. As a local leader in health and wellness, it is important for us to support medical alternatives within the community. We look forward to this new initiative that will provide much needed walk-in clinic services by our pharmacy site."

Avail Cannabis has also just signed the first medical marijuana clinic franchise agreement with its clinic opening in a medical building located at 960 Lawrence Ave. W, North York. The owner of this franchise location, Gopi Mahen says, "We are excited to begin this new venture. Our collaborative effort to create a welcoming environment, raise awareness and streamline accessibility through Avail's medical channels and industry experience will be a benefit for all in the GTA."

Justin Whitehall, CEO and Clinic Director, Avail Cannabis, says, "We have spent a vast amount of time and resources to develop our expansion strategy. As we begin execution of this plan in Q1 of 2019, we are confident that our pharmacy strategy will provide a more inclusive environment for all our Barrie patients, further reducing stigma. Our franchise model will also allow us to rapidly expand while providing a streamlined clinic operation experience through Avail's existing medical channels. The collaboration with Express Aid Pharmacy will position us at the front line of pharmacy related cannabis distribution, once it becomes available."
