Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Acquires Group Benefits Strategies


ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. , Nov. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. today announced the acquisition of Auburn, Massachusetts-based John R. Sharry, Inc., dba Group Benefits Strategies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1993, Group Benefits Strategies is one of the largest municipal health care consulting firms in Massachusetts. The team represents self-funded and fully insured municipalities and businesses throughout New England, and has developed group benefit plans for clients ranging in size from 100 to up to 10,000 employees. Katherine (Kate) Sharry and her associates will continue to operate from their current location under the direction of Tom Belmont, head of Gallagher's Northeast region employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations.
