Rivetz and XYO Network Partner to Deliver Best-In-Class Cybersecurity for XYO Physical Location Services

SAN DIEGO and RICHMOND, Mass., Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Rivetz, an industry leader in embedded, blockchain-based mobile security solutions, and XYO Network, the technology bringing blockchain to the real world, today announced a partnership to integrate Rivetz's hardware-level security protections into XYO location services.

The partnership fortifies the XYO Network with Rivetz's decentralized cybersecurity protections, creating a seamless and secure experience for the decentralized applications (dApps) employing the XYO dApp open SDKs.

"The XYO Network is offering an innovative model to enhance proof of location for the Internet," said Markus Levin, COO and co-founder of XYO Network. "The Rivetz solution provides the foundation of a simpler and safer experience for our customers leveraging XYO's location services."

XYO Network connects the digital world online with the real world offline by developing location-based technologies based on Bluetooth and GPS tracking beacons. The technology allows everyday consumers to track real-world items in real-time, right from their smart phones. It is the world's first people-powered location network built on blockchain technology to enable location-based dApps.

"Rivetz builds the tools to ensure blockchain will always be secure," said Steven Sprague, founder and CEO of Rivetz. "Rivetz and XYO Network are leading the way in bridging security from the physical world to the digital world."

Rivetz's best-in-class security solutions hinge upon access to the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), which is an isolated, measured computer environment separate from the operating system. By provisioning all digital transactions through the TEE, Rivetz assures that private keys cannot be altered or stolen if the operating system were tampered with or infected by malware.
