HALIFAX, Oct.15, 2018 /CNW/ - Hundreds of Unifor members and supporters will depart from the Irving Shipyard and march along Barrington Street to Grand Parade on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. to support the Ships Stay Here campaign.

"We're getting the word out because this work is vital to maintaining our shipbuilding workforce here in Nova Scotia," said Adam Hersey, Unifor-MWF Local 1 Business Agent. "The Irving Shipyard was one of two yards chosen through the National Shipbuilding Strategy to build the future Royal Canadian Navy and it's important that commitments from the federal government are honoured."
