Tag Digital Wins Contracts Worth £8m as Global Expansion Accelerates

The Scottish company's ambitious export strategy has resulted in blue chip organisations across the globe signing-up to £8m in long-term deals for its services. Recently, Ascential, Dubai World Trade Centre and UBM Americas, the largest event organiser in the United States, joined an already impressive list of clients.

Tag Digital, which has offices in London and Dubai, has identified the USA as one of several major growth areas for the business. The team will head stateside this month to exhibit at IMEX America 2018 in Las Vegas, America's worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events.

Husband-and-wife team Laura and Craig Davidson, who co-founded the business in 2011, plan to open a US office in early 2019 to facilitate recent growth in North American clients.

Laura said: "To grow our business, we need to look beyond the UK. While we have targeted areas for growth, much of this international expansion has been driven by referrals - and we wouldn't get these referrals if our team wasn't delivering for clients at such a high level.

"We see huge potential in a number of countries; Germany, Australia, Japan, USA, and China in particular. By specialising in the event sector, being willing to travel and by making sure the right team, technology and processes are in place, it doesn't really matter where our clients are.   All that does matter is our results."

Tag Digital is a Google Premier Partner, a status achieved by only eight percent of agencies worldwide. The company is also one of 20 businesses accepted on to the inaugural Scale Up Scotland programme run by The Hunter Foundation and Entrepreneurial Scotland, designed to scale companies up to £50m turnover. The business is on track to achieve turnover of £6m by 2019 year-end, with more than 50% set to be international.

The fast-growing company is gathering awards at the same speed as contracts. After winning the regional award for Scotland and Ireland, Tag Digital has now been nominated for "International expansion of the year - for high growth businesses growing beyond the UK at pace" at the Barclays Entrepreneur Awards 2018.

This November, Laura and Craig will find out whether they retain the "Best use of technology to market an event" at Event Tech Live. The company is also nominated in the "Best use of technology to build event attendance" category at the same ceremony.
